Pastry Codex is an online learning hub that hosts baking classes through it's portal and other promotional sites at different venues in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area.

We pair local area Chef Instructors  with professionals and enthusiasts alike, and conduct classes in a safe, fun, dynamic, interactive and engaging atmosphere honoring local ordinance Covid19 rules and regulations of social distancing .

How do I sign up for 

class?

Visit our home page and select a baking

class, and it will bring up a listing of offerings

from either going to the Baking page, from the

grid, or by looking at the Calendar of events at

the bottom of the Home page.

Choose a class and a date that is of interest to you

select how many guests are coming with you and

click "Book now" follow through with the prompts and

a confirmation email will be sent to you.

How long are your classes?

Depends on the class, one of the differences of our classes vs. other learning venues is we cover more detail, and walk you through the science behind the art of baking.

Classes are between 2 1/2 -4 hours in length. You will find our classes captivating, engaging, informative, and simply fun and entertaining to participate in.

Either in person or online, you are guaranteed a skill set that that will provide you with tools for your success.

The answer is yes, bear in mind though schedule books quickly, group size

of certain minimums need to be in effect, Some types of classes are feasible,

others are better hosted from Arlington.

Can you host a function other than where you are
located?

Cancellation or reschedule request has to be made at least 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more.

For cancellation, please contact us in order to receive credits for booking a future class. Tickets are usually non-refundable.

While we try to be as flexible as possible, our classes take planning, require food to be ordered in advance and have limited seating. Therefore, we require an advanced notice of at least 48 hours.

However, you are always welcome to send someone in your place because we understand things could happen. We also know that there may be extenuating circumstances where you may have to cancel and reschedule, and are willing to accommodate you, for example inclement weather, or a family emergency.

The prices we charge for using our services / for our products are listed on the website. We reserve the right to change our prices for products displayed at any time, and to correct pricing errors that may inadvertently occur.

The fee for the services and any other charges you may incur in connection with your use of the service, such as taxes and possible transaction fees are inclusive.

Sharing of your email is kept 100% confidential, and is only used to send a digital copy of the .doc files to class that can be opened with either a Mac or Windows based system. We may at times send promotional discounts, Flash sale notifications, and announcements of new flagship class offerings.
